Default Goals

On the Xpress team call tonight with Julie Klein, we shared about the importance of goals. I was reminded of the importance of keeping them positive and in the present, How you phrase things makes a difference.
If your goal is "I want [X]" you'll always be in the wanting end vs the receiving end. In other words, be careful what you ask for.
I wonder if it works on ice cream....

Great point Annie-Pat!

I also like the point that was made about remebering why you have those goals and how you are going to obtain those goals!

It was a great call, and it got me motivated and thinking!

It makes a huge difference to write down your goals. Put them on a post it and put it on your bathroom mirror or on your computer monitor. When you reach a goal, cross it off the list. It feels GREAT to accomplish something. Pretty soon you'll have a bunch of accomplishments and then you'll need to set some more goals!

I'd love to have my team members send me an eMail with their goals. We can go over them and develop a plan to get you there! Everything is possible - you just need to put in the work to make it happen! I'm here to help you with anything you need. Just zip me an email or give me a call.

I agree having goals help you stay motivated and focused. I have my goals written down and then broken further down on how to obtain them so I don't overwhelm myself.

Our call about goals on Monday was great! So many participated in the conversation. As I said on the call - and as Cheryl posted here - it is a great idea to send your goals - short term and long term - to your sponsor. She/he will review them and give you some feedback.

I want to go read your blog now Elaine.

I like the idea of a Vision Board too! I have heard of them, but I am not really sure how you make one.
