How long does it take you to write an article? Any tips?
Looking at people who made $500 on MC last week and reading around, I'm curious how long it takes you all to write a 500 word article, let's say? How many are you writing per day?

It depends on the job. I have a private client who has me writing up casino slot machine reviews of 400 or more words that I can do in 15 minutes after playing the game for 5 minutes.
DS, I take more time with because you have to cite resources. I just did one for their Local.com site in 45 minutes. Wikio and Populis are great because I love the topics. Both take me about 20 minutes.

DS takes me forever, too - although I'm getting better. I'm much faster on other sites, even though the articles are twice as long.

Definitely depends on the job. I can knock out 2, and sometimes 3, DS articles in an hour if I'm doing topics in which I have a lot of expertise. Research increases the time exponentially. Magazine articles take much longer because they usually involve interviews etc.

On the plus side, the one I did for DS this morning was edited and accepted, and I'm not kidding, within 90 seconds of my submitting it. I hadn't even shut out of the screen when I noticed it was with editor and then done. I don't think I've ever had one go through that quickly.

The DS CEs are definitely working fast today. I did two, and both were edited and through already by the time I'd submitted my third.

DS takes me about 40 minutes per article. Sometimes I get ones that take 60 and sometimes I get lucky with a 20 minute one, but overall it is about 40 minutes each. I think the writing part takes me the same, no matter how long I take, but the research time differs. I also count how long it takes me to put it all into the template and upload it. If I have internet issues, that can add on time.
I think that MC and Wikio take me the same about of time, about 15 to 20 minutes. Maybe Wikio a tad more since they require 100 extra words.

I would say it depends on the client, format and topic. I would say fastest 20 minutes and longest 45 minutes.

Last week I wrote a DS article, submitted it, went to the bathroom and when I came back it had been accepted. I couldn't believe it, lol.
I can usually do a DS article in an hour or less, including research, if it's something I'm not too familiar with. Articles I have experience in take less than an hour. MC article are about 30 minutes. I do like to write the articles, take a break and then come back to edit and proofread, so it's hard to add up exactly how long I take doing articles. I also do research in batches.
