Default Which blogging site should I use?

If I am going to start a niche and use a blog to bring in sales via ads, affiliate programs, which blogging site should I use? I heard not to use wordpress. I heard of blogger.com - which ones will allow ads and affiliate programs like amazon to be posted?

Thanks in advance!

Blogger is owned by Google and they will remove make money blogs that contain opportunities other than AdSense. I really think it's best to invest a little money in your own site/domain. That way, you control it and no one else can take it down.

Word Press .com is good because they will give you written support.
Next, I used Go Daddy as a host or supporter because they have a telephone number that allowed me to call a guy. He walked me through step by step because they offered a one click to start the blog on WP.

WordPress. com does not allow any blogs with money making/affiliate opportunities on them though, and when they find them, they remove them.

Get your own domain and install wordpress. Hosting is cheap and domains hardly cost anything. Numerous youtube videos on how to install most hosting services and they will install it for you if you call their help line.

I use Blogger and I really don't know where this misconception is coming from. I use AdSense as well as affiliate links on my blog - and have for years. I've not had a single problem with Blogger removing anything from my blog at all.

I know a lot of people like self-hosting. I'm just not that technologically intelligent, LOL.

I actually use Weebly for my homeschooling blog site. However, I did buy my own domain and pointed it to the Weebly blog. Hosting is free, but they do have premium levels for additional services. I know people say that doing wordpress.org, your own domain, plus buying your own hosting plan is best, but I really like Weebly. I just use wordpress.com for my writer's site. FYI: you can use affiliate links on wordpress.com.

I also vote to use a self-hosted Wordpress site. Wordpress is a great platform and there are many options to customize it for you. It's also better for SEO. You can install Wordpress via a GoDaddy hosting account. Just contact me if you get lost, I'm a web designer
