Well, after further research, I found some plugins that are
supposedly "must haves" when you host a wp blog. I installed the following because they seemed to be the most effective: All in one SEO: This plugin helps you optimize your blog for the search engines. It's similar to the title, header, description, and keyword meta tags that search engines like to see. Google XML Sitemap: This plugin helps google find your blog. It lets the big G know that you exist and are ready to be crawled. (sounds kinky, doesn't it) Anyway, the remaining plugins can be found on this warrior thread. Simply go to your wp dashboard, look for the Plugin link on the left and do a search for the plugin you want to install.

Thanks Adrianne, I had my husband to install the SEO plugin a few months ago after reading your post.
---- Okay, I have posted a topic on the Wordpress forums; I am beyond anxious to get a response. I used the wordpress search tool in dashboard, and I noticed it brought up a site that is self-hosted. alotonyourplate.com That is the site I am talking about and I'm sure there are more. I wonder if it's because of the genesis framework? I really need that "good and free" wordpress traffic!
