Do any of the free blogging sites allow adsense?

Blogger has adsense built in (but I believe you have to split the commission with them. ) - My mistake as noted below. They do not take a share of the commission.

Really, it's so cheap to get a blog from GoDaddy or other host, if you want to make money blogging, it's the best way to go. That way you have complete control.

Thanks for the godaddy info. I will check it out.

Why did some of my words turn blue in my post?

Actually Blogger doesn't receive any commission from you using Adsense on your blog.

They also implemented Amazon Affiliate program into their dashboard I think too.

Before signing up with any "free" blogging sites, read their terms and conditions to see who owns the content and if the content can be removed if you move your site.

While GoDaddy is great for purchasing a domain I'd steer clear of their hosting, I've heard too many complaints.

Our town is trying to set up a website and they purchased a years hosting through them and they can't access it from the town hall because their firewall blocks it saying it's porn. They don't even have the site set up yet so they can't even work on it. Thinking it's because of the ads GoDaddy has out there and that a lot of people set up sites there due to low cost and do use it for porn. I'd hate to think I had a good site and nobody could get there because they're firewall, ISP or some other filter blocked it.

I've always been surprised by how many people complain about GoDaddy. I've been with them for around ten years and I've only ever had a few email issues.

What I like best about them is their service. I once accidentally wiped out my entire Wordpress blog on a site. I called them at 1 in the morning and they reset everything from the auto back-up. They've saved my bacon on so many occasions with that switch, I can't tell you.

The host I had before this, charge four times the amount for hosting and all of our sites were irreparably hacked.

There may be other services that do it, but I was sold when I discovered their one button Wordpress install. Before that, I used to install the program by hand. So, yes, I'm a big GoDaddy fan.

I would chose to get my domain at one place like godaddy or 1and1 and my hosting at another place. It is just safer that way.

I have used hostgator for years and never had a problem.

Most hosting sites have one button WP install. I use InMotion and found a code on CNET for 6 months free. I paid for a full year at once at half price. Their customer service and tech support is great and have helped me set up things on my blog that I didn't understand such as robot.txt files. I get emails if there's a problem that's overtaxing my site or their servers and they've put temporary fixes in place until I can do something permanent.

I do highly recommend GoDaddy for domain purchases though

I am not fond of GoDaddy's commercials.

I use Hostgator for hosting and Namecheap for domain names.
