Default Work just isn't..

As much as it used to be. I was looking at my amounts for this time last year and I see I was making over $300 for several months from March through June. This year the work just doesn't seem to be as plenteous. I haven't been able to do much work as it is usually gone by 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. Not much night or weekend work anymore and this makes me very sad. How I wish for the good old days of doing all-nighters because there was so much work.

I totally agree with you "LadyMia" on this. I think one reason there isn't as much work this year as compared to last year was the Covid pandemic. I think 2022 workloads were greater because the work couldn't get to us because of the pandemic going on in the previous year, 2021. This resulted in the work piling up because quite a bit of it couldn't get to us. Now in 2023 we got caught up on all that previous work. The workload has picked up quite a bit since April, but nowhere near what it was last year. On Friday nights there is usually work to key, but the last couple of weeks it's getting done usually between 7 and 8 pm CST. Sometimes, there is work on Saturdays, but it doesn't seem to be as often as in previous years. We all know this job is just a part time gig, nothing to make a living off of, but the extra money is always nice to have.

It would be nice if "KeyForCash" would put work announcements up on the website to let us know when there is work available, or just send a weekly email to let us know when they expect work to be available. They have been great in paying us after each pay period ends and are quick to answer all emails in a timely manner. I will always be grateful for this gig, and I hope it continues for many years to come.

I think he had said in the past that they don't always know when the work is coming in.

Yes, we've been told several times that the workload is unpredictable. We can't go by the work patterns of the past two years.

So, I've just learned to keep checking and be pleasantly surprised when everything comes together: work to do and energy to do it, happening together at a convenient time for me.

That said, does anyone remember the "address matching" task? What I wouldn't give for a lovely weekend of address matching.

Thumbs up

I have been with "KeyForCash" since 2013. I don't remember ever seeing the "address matching" category. That must have been a category that was more frequent in the earlier years of KeyForCash. Interesting to know. Thanks for sharing!

I'm just happy for the work, no complaints here. It's been stated several times that workload can't be compared to previous years and that workload is unpredictable and IT guy tries to let us know when it comes in. I don't understand the repeated complaints? Log in, if there's work, do it, if not, go do something else.

Yes, I remember that job. I think it was a job that came from England as I remember English addresses. It was a great earning job as well. However it didn't last long at all. I remember when they would have evaluations for us to do to qualify for new jobs. That was really fun.

Must have been b4 my time as well. I was with the original KFC only a short while when it became Virtual Bee (only a few months) & there werent ever any evaluations except the initial ones to get onboard.

It would nice if we got something like that now. It'd make for a nice change of pace .... not that I mind keying of course.

I don't remember the year that address job was offered, but I do remember being able to make over $20 an hour doing it. It didn't last long. I think it lasted maybe 1 month, if that long. I really hated to see that job go and it never returned. I know it was under the evaluations tab and you had to pass a test to be able to work on it. And I remember there being some evaluations that were hard to pass.

The work has been better the last couple of days with work well into the evening. So I'm happy about that. We'll see if there will be any weekend work.
