In case some did not receive this, here is the latest from KFC:

We want to provide another quick update on where things are at with the LionBridge SmartCrowd transition. We have fully transitioned everything over from them with the exception of one remaining customer. This customer is working through contract concerns with LionBridge and will not transition until those concerns are satisfied. This is why you might still be seeing data entry work come up from time to time back on the SmartCrowd website.

We are unclear as to if and when this remaining customer and concern will be resolved so please continue to check with the SmartCrowd for work until you hear otherwise. Again, there will not be much since they are down to one customer but work will be available from time to time until they figure out how to resolve things and complete the transition in full with us.

In regards to questions from folks on what will happen to SmartCrowd - the short answer is we do not know. We can only assure you that the DATA ENTRY portion of the SmartCrowd is now owned by KeyForCash so once they close out the contract concerns with this one remaining customer there will not be DATA ENTRY work in the SmartCrowd again moving forward. However, they may still continue to utilize the SmartCrowd for the other types of work they perform so if you are interested or are currently doing that sort of 'other work' that likely will not change.

In regards to the work volumes, for those of you who have been keyers for awhile now know all too well - there is no consistency with work volumes throughout the year and there is no way to accurately predict this from day to day or week to week. We are going to be actively pursuing new customers in hopes that we can help 'level out' the workload to a more consistent amount throughout the year but that will take some time and there is no guarantee we will succeed. In the interim, we are doing our best to try and get as much work as we can from our customers and try to understand better when we can expect work from them. Anything we have that is reliable information will certainly be passed on to the keyers.

We have successfully been up and running now for over 45 days and we greatly appreciate your participation in helping to make that happen. We are continuing our efforts to improve the platform and hope to have good news about improvements etc. as we roll into 2021.
