Default Great Info!

I just wanted to thank you for posting this. Since I train transcriptionists (in addition to running my own transcription service), this is important information, especially for newbies. I think most of us who have been in the game for awhile have learned, probably the hard way, that research, research, research is always the key before jumping in...to any online venture.

I also wanted to bring up another related point. It is extremely important, when working as a freelancer with your OWN clients and not through a larger organization, that you get a signed contract before you begin work. Personally, I've been very lucky and almost all of my clients pay me very quickly. But, I do have contracts with them. I don't care how large or how small the job is, get it in writing before you start working. It can be a simple contract. I have a sample if anyone needs it. Feel free to contact me.

Whatever you do, don't go off platform. Scammers easily exploit people's tendency for fee avoidance.
