Default 200 minutes of audio a day?

How many of you can transcribe 200 minutes of audio a day? I am curious.

I could, but I would cry a lot in the process.

If you want to devote 10 to 16 hours of your day to working, forgetting all the vagaries of audio which will change these figures, yes, it can be done.

No, I wouldn't attempt it. Quality of output is far more important than quantity.

Why do you ask the question, MartezJ? I am curious!

I did once have to complete 160 minutes in one day. I took the next two days off and didn't even glance at the computer. For me, 120 is my max. After that I start hating the job, the file, the contract/client, myself, my computer, et cetera.

For certain types of files for familiar clients for whom I have templates and lots of shortcuts, I can. I don't usually choose to do so anymore. I have lots of other things I want to accomplish now, so I just don't spend much time working these days.

I have done it. And had to do it in a 2:1 turnaround. By the time I was done, my neck and shoulders hurt.

Yeah, I agree. I only asked because with more lower paying general transcription companies sometimes you have to transcribe that much just to meet your week's earnings goal.

I'm with you on that. I pretty much work from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. I can't wait until I can have a more normal workday.

I actually had a 200 minute audio yesterday. With the Boostaroo (my new best friend lol) and the audio being clear I started at 8 a.m. and finished at 10 p.m. It's doable but not much time for anything else.

Exactly, it really does suck but when it has to be done, it has to be done.
