Check out the stickies, there is one for approved MT schools.

If you've never done transcription, I'd suggest trying general, just to see if it is something you would want to do before investing in MT school.

Also transcription is much more than just typing, it takes many more skill than being able to type 'fast'' so trying it out first may be the best option.

Default What's the going price---Pay?

Sound like a good number of people do transcribing?

That's great to hear...as I hate transcribing my own stuff!

What is the going price or what can I expect to pay someone to transcribe my audio which would be simply listening to just me (no conversions) via an audio or video?

Thanks,
Burt

Average pay for clear audio, no accent, no time stamping would be about .95 to $1 an audio minute.

NeedWork's figure is about right for the type of work s/he describes. I hope no one gives you a figure much lower than that.

Thank you, Alba. Ditto completely these sentiments. NeedWork's figure is about right if a bit low depending on the quality of the work provided.
