Nice Lesleysmom! I am jealous!!! I had a HUGE writing assignment that was sprung on me last-minute by a client, so my plans to hop on today and free skate/grab some committed and observe a bit went askew, unfortunately. BUT, I am so on it tomorrow...lol. I mean, there really isn't a script to follow, which I love, and you can customize the chat experience to suit your personality. You are really in the driver seat there as long as you provide great service and try your hardest to locate solutions and answer questions. And if anything becomes "unanswerable," lol, you can provide CS and move on...hahaha! Hope to see you in there tomorrow. I love that you can see the chat stats and pay right away, too! Keeps the motivation going. Did you see we can effectively get up to 28 HOURS per week with O?!! That's generous!

I admit, I make quite a bit more per hour writing, but sometimes it's so taxing, mentally, so the trade off sometimes isn't worth it. This is a great alternative, because while it doesn't pay as much as I'm used to, it's still GREAT pay and it's FUN! I plan to incorporate Needle daily to give me a much-needed brain break!

My main area of expertise is actually fashion, lol, then interior design. I do have some basic gardening knowledge, and it is important that you know some about it.

This sounds like an amazing opportunity for so many. I want to apply but there isn't anything I am an expert and can offer help in. I started the application but once it asked about that, I exited out. Time to look for something else. Congrats to those that have gotten hire!

Hi Mygirls,

I had this exact same issue. It is because needle.com does not support Internet Explorer. Try downloading firefox and that should solve your issue

I could be wrong but I do not think you have to be a expert. You just have to have a general knowledge so you can help them find what they are looking for.

No, you don't have to be an "expert". You just have to be confident and personable. You have to know how to lead a chat. As long as you can visit the website, find product info, you're good. You will be asked questions to test your knowledge but just show them how much you love matching colors and you enjoy the natural earth. I would say try it anyway...think about times you maybe planned a party or decorate your own home. Think about what you would like when decorating your own home and this is usually similar for the customer. etc...

I wonder how long does it typically take after you have submitted an application before you hear back from them regarding the interview? I applied yesterday 1/30. Also, their system allowed me to take all of the certifications including the ones for Overstock. Is that normal?
