Lightbulb Looking for telecommuting job asap!

Hi there y'all and happy merry..

I realize I am a bit behind in my search but was helping a friend get into a program..so I Just Now am restarting my search for a Telecommuting position..I live in CA and would like to know what companies might still be hiring for The Season and hopefully onwards.

No straight commission or sales gigs unless doing sales is part of a Customer Svc. job that pays hourly as well.

Have done a lot of Customer Svc.,Concierge/Consulting, Sales, Troubleshooting, Internet Research/Resourcing etc Am Fab w/ people.. Have degrees in Psych/English (BA) and a Counseling Degree as well. Also am a Professional Comedian and Writer..that is where my heart/soul are! Would Love a Writing Gig that actually pays something! lol

Thanks to all

With love, light and laughter

Rachelle,

There are lots of things listed in this section of the forum and new ones are posted almost every day. I'd recommend searching through this section and applying for things you are qualified to do.

Good luck.

If writing is one of your passions just check the Writing section on this board. They have posts on there daily. Also, try craigslist you may be able to to write for several private clients, but just be very cautious. Just to piggyback on what Dana said, just check the telecommuting forum everyday something is bound to come up.... just stick with it.

Good Luck!

best advice that I can give is to apply to everything. Many work from home jobs take a while to get back to applicants.

When it comes to freelance writing, you could attempt to write for sites like Textbroker and Cloudcrowd. While their rates might not seem that great, many writers do make a nice hourly income from them.

There is also marketing yourself to private clients as a freelance writer.

Sounds like you have a lot of skills. You may be able to parlay them into a VA position. Definitely writing ones.Take a look at some of the bidding sites like Elance and oDesk.

If you love to write you might want to take the time to build a following at About.com and become a guide. It might take time to build, but once developed you will have a solid work at home job doing what you love.
