Could you be more specific? Are you looking to sell products? Promote/advertise products? etc.

I have done this before as well as know some people who have and continue to do so. Merchandisers pay you for the job you complete but if you only get a job every once and a while it would not be helpful. When I did it, the only jobs I could get were an hour away (I live in a smaller city) and they would be weeks apart. Now if you are able to get jobs that are close to where you live and they are able to provide you with recurrent tasks for said stores or even in the same area, you can make some extra money. But even the people I knew that did it all the time considered it a extra income thing. They all had other full time jobs.
