Being a contractor is awesome cause you get to have a flexible schedule and be in control of your time. It's the best of both worlds.

Default To LLC or not?

I got some advice that working as an IC it is a huge benefit to establish one's self as an LLC, even if there is only you. Anybody have any ideas on this?

LLC seems to be the perrfered method. To work with certain companies you will have to classify yourself as a c/s corp for tax reasons.

Everyone's tax situation is different- you should really consult a qualified tax advisor. For example, in my case I have always used an S-corp...

Hi,
Regular employment has much better benefits compare to the contractor. You said your pregnant and your work is so physical. If you in leave of absence why dont you get some online job so that even if your just at home your still earning.
