Hello. I just wanted to let everyone know that LSS is definitely a scam! My friend worked for them and they are refusing to pay her and another one of her friends. I really feel bad for her.

If anyone wants to read more about this company you can read another thread on this forum here: http://www.wahm.com/forum/telecommut...staff-com.html
That's why I love this forum. People can share they're experience. But the key to allowing this forum to be beneficial is RESEARCHING before you apply for the job and not just taking chances. I specifically mentioned in this thread that they DO NOT have to pay you and they like it this way. That is the reason why they do not have you sign any paperwork. If there is no contract, then there is no obligation on their side. They can pay you if they decide to... |

Thanks. They sent me an email but after reading the other thread, I didn't even respond back.

I too went as far as I could with this company.
So much went on I would have to write a short novel, but let me try to shorten this up. I agreed to $500 a month because there was promise of advancement both in wage and growth. One poster is also correct in, there is no contract, just "their word" that later I found out was contradicting at best. Going into my third month and told the month prior I was to advance in pay - I received another deposit of $500, so naturally I inquired. Well, I quit. The outcome was something I was, in part aware could happen but in hopes it was an honest company. Overall, I got myself into this and tried it out. I learned a lot, but mainly - not to accept a job from some unknown company, who doesn't have a contract or a minimum wage set in place. To not give "all" of my time to set family aside to work only on a hope and wish. It's unfortunate, but they're breaking the labor laws if you ask me. One staff member who just quit a week or so prior to my leaving investigated them with Revenue Canada and the Dept. of Federal Labor. I too am looking into this myself. I don't have any plan on reporting them, but do want to fully understand my rights as an independent contractor vs. employee and minimum wage laws vs. training wage laws. It's a hug headache, but worth learning about I'm sure. To anyone who should apply with them - just make sure you have something in writing or a clear understanding of what will be expected of you. Wishing you all well! |
