In a log home that we will have custom built (of course) in Maine just steps to a pond in a private, secluded area. Going to Maine in a few weeks to this exact type of location....can't wait! Hoping to fulfill this dream when my husband retires.

I'd like to be able to visit each of these places! I love traveling, but I've been unable to do much the last few years.

We just got back from St. Pete Beach last week, and gotta admit, we were at least browsing condos and houses while we were down there.... absolutely loved it.

I don't know where (state or country), but I would love to have a lake house, I also don't like extreme weather, especially cold, snow, etc... So if you know where would be the perfect location for my "lake house" just share!

Oh wait, I just read mama.mialisia's reply... THERE is WHERE!

Paris! But that is because we have never been there!

So hopefully our dream destination would not disappoint.

Honestly for me it would be London. It's just that I have all my family lives here in Birmingham and London is really expensive, especially if you'd need a big house (we have four children).

However I just love London, to me it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world, I have been there a couple of times. My personal highlight was when we spent my 30st birthday there and hired a limousine service for an exhibition transfer. We were using BlackLane and it was soooo nice to be able to see all the attractions and at the same time be able to totally relax. I highly recommend renting one at least once!

I don't know if I would want to switch where I live now. Its not a tropical paradise or anything, but everything you could want is close enough. Houston is just an hours drive south of me where you can visit the zoo, museums, etc. There is a large lake about 30 minutes from the house with fishing, swimming and boating. The Texas coast isn't to far either. I would wish for a larger house so that all the kids have their own rooms. Other and that the grocery stores would double coupons up to a dollar.

It's interesting that a few of you would move to another country. I love traveling and visiting lots of other places is a dream, but as an American, I couldn't live outside the USA.
