Default Does anyone her miss hearing from...

Does anyone besides me miss hearing from consultants from lia sophia, Arbonne, Pampered Chef , Gold Canyon candles , Jewels by Parklane and some of the other "old school " DS companies? I loved the old Wahm.com so much better. I miss the home companies like Southern Living at Home too. It's just not the same as it used to be .

It seems like when Facebook came along this site kind of died out. But there are still a few of us who have been around a long time!

Remember these companies?

Weekenders
Body Shop at Home
Sensaria

Who do you guys miss? If anyone!

Yes, I miss that too. I spend a lot of time on facebook groups with other reps, but I like knowing what is going on more broadly in the industry and meeting new people here! I wish it were as busy as it once was.

Yes same thing here :O I'm wondering if people just don't know about the forum because of other online/ social media companies. I'd love to see this forum return to being very active. I learned so much!!!

Cheryl,

I know what you mean about the lack of presence from these other companies. I enjoyed reading the posts from the other consultants that represented these companies. I would also purchase products and it was easy to find people on these forums. I learned about my first DS company from reading posts back in 2009. I learned some insights that I would not have learned from talking to another consultant or reading the company information.

This forum still provides very useful information that is not accessible via FB.

What do I miss? I miss the different jewelry companies.

Yes, I miss seeing all of the company's folders, too. I used to come here a lot and would read all of the direct sales folders. I don't come here too often anymore. I just check in every once in a while. This is the first time I've posted in a very long time. I think you could find out more information here than you do on, Facebook.

Sometimes change is not all it's wrapped up to be.

I have to agree. I miss how things used to be too. I have learned so much from WAHM over the years and have made some good friendships.

Sensaria will always hold a dear place in my heart, that's where I started and it was sad when they closed. Things have certainly changed over the years here at WAHM. I used to learn so much by the sharing of info between reps here.

Amanda, you introduced me to Sensaria. I loved their products! I am hoping those of us who are left here on WAHM can start posting more ideas to share with everyone no matter what company- for selling, recruiting etc. Just like the old days!

I don't see this as being a problem caused by Facebook or G+ or groups available on any other popular social platform. Similar "make money" forums are thriving and, indeed, growing almost exponentially. (I won't name the forums, out of respect for WAHM.com, and the already depleted traffic volume.)

If any moderator would like to hear my assessment of the problem, and a possible solution, I'd be only too happy to have an intelligent discourse via PM.

It is a shame indeed that traffic levels have dropped off. I've followed this forum prior to registering and, in fact, decided to register here with the sole purpose of helping to inflate membership levels and encourage "board stickiness." Being a mother myself, and once being broke but finding a way to earn a very high income online, I truly sympathize with other moms, ladies, and indeed gentlemen, who wish to learn and - without wanting to sound cheesy - earn. I have done what I can to help my family members and friends to earn online, so I feel here, on WAHM, there is an opportunity for people like myself, and I would wager many others here, to offer assistance to the newcomers or to those who are struggling.

It's a shame that there are fewer interactions here. I really do miss it.
