Arrow What's Your Role as an Amazing Upline?

What do you do to be an amazing upline to your team? What is your role? What can your downline expect from you? How do you find success being an amazing upline?

Among many things, top three big ones that stand out:
Easily accessible
Expert level knowledge of product, policies, compensation and everything Scentsy
Support/Encouragement

I totally agree!

1) Accessible
2) Knowledgeable
3) Respect the goals of my downlines instead of imposing my goals on them
4) Motivating - let them know they can do it when they have doubt

I provide that kind of support to fellow reps who aren't on my team, and to the ones who are. I think that's why I have so much fun at conference - this approach has made me close to Silpada reps all over the country!

Same as above... But I don't push the crap out of my DL.... I hated that with other DS businesses I did. Where the focus was always recruit, recruit, recruit! etc.... I feel that if a team member wants to sell and/or recruit a lot they will do so, if they just want personal use, they will do that. All the rah, rah, pressure tactics just make people feel guilty and I do not want my team to feel like that... I motivate but I don't force it down their throats. They all know if they want extra help I'm there to do that. Just my 2 cents

Just found this great quote regarding leadership:

“You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins.” – Jim Stovall

So true..
