Obviously, the half-price and free are for hostesses. I also am happy to add them to my mailing list and invite them to my retired jewelry sale, but I give my hostesses an extra 10-20% off my products, and they get first crack at my inventory.
LOVE THIS! I am totally stealing this response!

Default Got a Deal?

You've gotten very good responses and helpful ideas and tips.

I'd like to add that whenever you feel like offering a 'deal' consider making it one --
That offers them 1/2 off a product with the purchase of $$ in products.
Or a FREE XX with the purchase of $$ in products.

One that has another product ordered bumps up your sales at your discounted price point rather than paying for the full cost of shipping/tax-which is completely out of pocket.

Wishes that the evolution in your business makes you savvy and profitable.

Thank you for all of your ideas. It was kind of on the spot that one, so I'm eating the shipping and tax, but that will be the only time unless it's part of a special

Ya'll had some great suggestions with the transitioning into hostess and consultant benefits, and I will definitely be keeping those in mind for responses in the future.

Thanks again!
