Default Do you keep a lot of inventory?

Hey O2 designers, I'm thinking about signing up with the company but I have a couple questions. First of all, who does events like city fairs, trade shows, community events, etc.? Secondly, to those who do this sort of thing, how much inventory do you keep? It seems like if you're doing events, you'd be doing a lot of make and take. Or are people happy to just try things on and order what they love? Just curious. I personally would want the instant gratification of make and take, so I think I'd like to provide that but that seems like a substantial up front investment. I saw a video on Youtube that's a couple years old and the designer said she bought one of everything from the catalog and it was over 3 grand. Um, yea...I can't afford that. LOL

I do a lot of art fairs and I do have inventory. I also do make and take at parties. My initial investment was about 3k but that isn't necessary. The business model is for you to carry samples and to take orders. With the selection increasing so much I am going to reduce my inventory and do more order taking myself.

Thanks for the feedback. It does seem like with the product selection growing it would be difficult to maintain inventory on everything.

Smile Intently or not

Good morning! I'm a brand new designer and the thought of having inventory scared me. I do NOT carry it. I went to the Spring Launch last weekend and they specifically talked about inventory at shows. The directors encouraged people to not carry it. it sends the customer the wrong message if in fact they are thinking of becoming a designer themselves. It also lets people know they are getting fresh from the warehouse, personalized for them jewelry. I did however, purchase a few additional pieces to add to my kit for versatility. But that was all. I hope you decide to join. It was the best decision I made.

Great questions!

I have been with O2 for 3 months. I stock a decent inventory. I suggest starting with the starter kit and see how fast it goes. Then try one of the business builder kits. They range in price from $200-$600 and they contain a great assortment.

I do events, local fairs and shows and I bring 10 complete stories (10 Lockets, chains, 10 plates, 40 charms). It's been very good for me. Plus if I don't have something in stock, people are free to order.

Feel free to message me if you have questions [email protected]

I was wondering about the fairs? Are they expensive to partake in?
