Prayer.. Setbacks are going to happen. Art Williams used to tell people straight out there's a good chance most people won't achieve their dreams because it takes commitment and most people won't pay the price it takes. Of course I'm talking about those who want to be full-time and building a business or making the high income because most people want something if it's easy. Building a business isn't going to be easy and most people will quit which opens the door for the person who is committed.
Just understand your commitment is going to be tested and just keep on keeping on. It's an old saying but it's true today. "Just Do It". The key is to try to always be positive. Last but not least recruiting more people solves many problems so recruit, recruit, recruit. |

PinkPea,
I would totally agree with Cornelius. In the past, I've had a few opportunities to look at what I'm doing to see if it's really what I SHOULD be doing or not. I don't think just hearing "no's" is enough to question what you are doing, as we shouldn't take the prospecting no's personally. However, if there's a problem with your company (products, ethics, upline, etc.) then I would really question my association with them. For example, I had a problem with a company's launch earlier this year. I had to back out after putting in months of work because the company leadership wasn't being totally honest about the ingredients it was using. It was a hard decision, but thankfully it led me to a company that I *can* trust and that I will be able to promote long-term!! ![]() My biggest suggestion is to keep working on your belief in yourself and also the NWM industry! I have a steady flow of mindset & marketing training going into my brain daily! I focus on my goals and dreams and make sure I'm working my plan to make them happen! I'm also very blessed to have a fabulous upline who's *SO* supportive and encouraging!! It really makes all the difference for me! ![]() Lori in NY |

Setbacks are inevitable in every business, but don't let that discourage you. Having your mind on your goal is helpful. The good thing about all those obstacles is that you earn a lot and gain experience through time.

Being in the Personal Leadership Development Biz when things feel "blah" we just work on ourselves more than we do on our business. It really does lift your vibration!! Its the most fun too!!
It goes about working on some personal development, or plugging into some inspirational audios or a book, or a you tube. Something that gets you thinking positive, motivates you, cleans up your "stinking thinking" Then once you're feeling up again, "Just Do It" as Nike say ![]() Get into your marketing, call those leads, keep on swimming and hold that vision of success being yours in your mind. All those goals you have set for yourself personally and in business. Quit comparing yourself to everyone else, have fun, be you, know that business is a journey and part of the journey in most cases isn't always pleasant. If we can make it as fun and enriching, have gratitude for the small wins along the way, eventually there will be success, its just a matter of consistent action towards your goal. Believe in YOU! Lots of great comments made above.
I think the key is not letting the setback drag you down by keeping foremost in your mind... that if you just keep doing all the right things, results will happen. Both good things and bad things happen - we can learn from them both. I always think - no point worrying about spillt milk - just better get on with cleaning it up and pouring the next glass! ![]() Dorothy Grow Yourself. Here's one of my favorite affirmations that I would like to share with you:: "Some years there are questions .... some years there are answers. " Welcome to the WAHM board !!! Pink Pea |

Watching (or listening) to personal development videos/audios helps immensely.
I'm a fan of Tony Robbins and Les Brown and YouTube is ls full of their content. I suggest you watch 15 minutes of a video everyday or if you're a reader, read 15 minutes from a motivational book everyday. It will help you recover from your setbacks that much quicker. |
