Arrow Pro-Pay

For all of you that use pro-pay:

Do you use a machine, use one of the card swipers, or do you take a laptop and enter the info online?

What do you use for a customer receipt if you do not use a machine with printer? What do they sign?

If you use something that just swipes the card, do you also take an imprint?

Thanks in advance.

Arrow swiper no swiping!

ROFL I could not resist, I remembered that from Dora the Explorer!

I have a hand held knuckle buster and I take a copy of the card, have them sign it, and I also get a driver's license and phone number. I do not enter the charges live, and I've only had one card ever not work (insufficient funds) and when I called she gladly provided another.

I could probably use my cell phone to access the web to process the charge live, actually, I do have a message into ProPay suggesting they come out with an app for the iphone

Thanks for the information! LOL on The Dora comment. I am signed up to do a charity expo in a few months and want to make sure I have everything in place to take CCs.

Oh, and someone does have an application on the Iphone to take credit cards, but its not Pro-pay. I saw it, but never really checked it out.

I've used a knuckebuster before, but think I may invest in a wireless swiper. I have to look into it.

The reason i say this is because some of the purchases have been pretty good sized, and I don't want to wait until later to find out if the card is approved or not, and then have to chase down the customer.

With a swiper, the card is declined/approved immediately, the customer signs on the dotted line, and off we go.
