Certainly is busy yet so very flexible in being able to prioritise what you want to do around the business activity. Like for me, I love to go to yoga in the morning so plan my work time around when my yoga sessions are held.
I also work alongside my husband so we tag-team the school run, the dinner prep, the play time with our daughter etc... Sure, you can do this with a regular job, but that time is set by your boss. Working for myself I can enjoy the day as I would as a full-time SAHM and then get my work done in the evening if I want to. Or as was the case this morning, I was up before sunrise calling people in the evening in Europe. Global biz = flexible time clock. Takes time to create your flow, your rhythm but so doable I guess some may not see it at advantageous, find your discipline and you're all set to go! |

Being self employed has helped me in many ways. It's the only way I can feel assured that my six year old non-verbal son is safe. He's not in daycare. I am available at the drop of the hat if his school calls me.
I am available for things my other two sons need during the day. They're significantly older than the little one, but still need their mama from time to time. It's helped me on my road to recovery with a weird heart condition (electrical problems with my hear on top of MVD). Me being home is the best thing for my family. |
