Initials Inc. vs Thirty-One

I have been trying to decide between initials and thirty one. I love some of the bags with initials, especially the turquoise city carryall that comes in the kit, and the work bag, that holds a laptop and has a pouch for cords. I did notice they are limited in patterns for different bags.

On the other hand, I like the college line with thirty one and feel they have more products for organization. They also seem to have more patterns.

I have only met one initials rep here, and she says she's the only one. When checking the company that does seem to be the case.

As for thirty one, there are a few more. I've met with someone from both lines, and both of them are great. Now I can't decide which line I like better : (
If I join initials I may have a better chance at building a team, because there are so few people here. Then again I could still possibly build a team with thirty one.

Ugg, can't decide. Any pros and cons for either line that I should know about?

It's so hard when you're so torn and it sounds like you genuinely like both of them. Been there . For me, I'd want to build a business so I would pick probably pick a company that has less reps in my area, especially if I'm planning on doing local boutique events/parties/etc.

Although this doesn't mean there wouldn't be room for you with Thirty One because not everyone who signs up is serious about doing parties or anything at all. I know from vendor boutiques, the ones that get shut out from getting a booth usually are from companies that have a lot of reps, because these events accept 1 rep per company. Just make sure you're the first to book a local booth.

Ultimately, choose a company that pulls at you the most. You can drive yourself nuts over analyzing. There are plenty of people that do well even with companies with a lot of reps because they just love the products, the company, culture, etc.

I do have a question about the quality differences (if any) between 31 and Initials. I know they are both fabric items, both sell similar silhouettes and product lines.

I was a 31 rep myself, so for me, the handbags (not the organizational items) were rather unexciting and very Target or Walmart quality range to me. This is why I left 31, as women love handbags and I couldn't get people to buy handbags they could buy in a big box store. Organizational products are nice, but a new bag is what gets women excited.

So a friend just asked me if I knew anything about Inititals and I went to their website and while the stuff looks similar to 31 and the price points are similar as well, I notice that a lot of Initials stuff is microfiber and has double zippers and the patterns seem more sophisticated and on trend. More nice solid colors too, as here in NY, we're not too fond of patterns or much beyond black....LOL...

So, does anyone know if there's a difference in quality or does Inititals just have a good photographer/stylist? Thanks!
