Default Homeschooling K and 1st grader advice?

I'm thinking about homeschooling my K and upcoming 1st grader! Does anyone have any advice or experience in doing so?

My son missed 3 months of studying at school so we have to get back on track and decided to hire a tutor. He studies a lot at home. The tutor comes to our house twice a week and we had a trial lesson as well. It works perfectly for him, I see the results. Ezy Maths Tutoring

My daughter home schools my grandchildren.

One is married with a family of her own now. One is a nurse's assistant studying for RN. One is studying for a degree in social work. And two adopted boys (3 & 4) just starting out.

Homeschooling has worked really well for her.

I do know that she selected a verified home study curriculum and that scheduled documentation of progress is required. If you have any specific questions let me know and I'll see what answers my daughter can provide.

I expect the requirements are different from state to state.
