Tips for Fundraising
Since Spring is such a huge Fundraising season, I thought it would be helpful to post a few tips for everyone!
1. Try to meet with the organization or chairperson in person. This will allow you to start building a relationship with them if you have not met them or been involved with the organization before. Be sure to follow up afterwards.
2. Prepare a presentation. Whether you are meeting with one person individually, or an entire PTA board, having a prepared presentation will look very well put together & thought out. All together it will look more professional.
3. Bring Samples. Having a display of the actual products that are going to be in the Fundraiser is a must. If you have a small sample to give out for everyone to try, bring several of them with you & pass them out for everyone to try.
4. Bring Fundraiser Packets. Having the actual Fundraiser packet is essential to show exactly what each participant packet is going to look like & have in it. Make sure your contact information & a letter to explain your company and organization's goal is also included.
5. Be sure to highlight what the organization can earn. Have examples of past successful Fundraisers. They need to be aware of their goal & how much they need to sell in order to achieve that goal.
6. Have fun! Whether it's an entire school, a single classroom, sports team, etc. Making it as fun as possible can make the world of difference in the outcome & enthusiasm within the organization. You could get together with the Principal, PTA board, Teacher, Coach, Chairperson, etc. & come up with a fun incentive such as small prize giveaways, pizza party, ice cream social, etc!
I hope you enjoyed some of my tips & have a fantastic Spring Fundraising season!
