I notice that when I flavor my water (using either something like crystal light or Propel - with minimal calories added and no sugar), I definitely drink more than I would have had I been drinking regular water.
Something my mother used to do often - she'd squeeze a lemon wedge into water and added a packet of sweetener of her choice (Sweet and Low at the time). She did this with every glass of water. Could be to hide the taste of the tap water way back then (though I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary) - who knows. But it's a great idea and it's a natural flavor enhancer (the lemon... not the S&L lol) Just noticed I never actually answered the question. I do not make my quota of water. It's not for lack of trying, as I keep water at my desk at all times, and to refill it is simply a few steps away. The nature of my job can be so intense that I literally "lose myself" in problem solving so that before I know it, several hours have gone by. |

I agree -- I do tend to drink more water when I flavor it with something like Crystal Light. Otherwise 8 glasses of water a day seems almost impossible; plain water gets really boring after a while.

I'm in the gallon to gallon and a half per day catagory. Mainly because of my workouts.

I drink about a gallon a day. I flavor mine with is a squirt of lemon sometimes. You could also try some of the decaf herbal teas...I like blueberry!

About 1.5 litres per day although that includes coffee etc

I like to drink about 4 to 6 glasses a day - helps keep me hydrated and also keeps me feeling satisfied especially when I am watching my weight or on a diet.

I think I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day - including my green and black teas.
