I've not had a day off from exercise in a while now. Normally my body tells me it's time for a day off. I haven't had that so I upped some of my weight exercises. I've increased weights where I could. Today will be my 2nd day at the higher weights. If my muscles feel sore then I'll take the day off

It's always good to take a day or rest or two to let you body properly recover from intense workouts. If you are feeling that you need to rest, just do it & you should be fine!

I'm so bummed. I posted that Wednesday morning. By afternoon I wasn't feeling well and slept most of the afternoon. No workout. Yesterday I still wasn't feeling well and so didn't work out again. So...very unexpectadly, I had two days off. Not sure about today, still not feeling up to par.

Don't beat yourself up Audrey! It's just your body telling you that you need the rest. I barely worked out all in the last week because I was just worn out...now I am back even stronger than before! I know how hard you work and that its difficult to take days off but you should and not feel guilty about it.

As a CPT I tell all my clients that they should take at least 1 full day off each week and that if they are working REALLY hard to take a rest week every month. A rest week does not mean that you don't work out at all...just that you scale your routines back, do less high impact, less heavy weight work and more yoga and stretching. Your body will thank you and pay you back by responding better to your routines, I promise

Hope you fee better soon!

Audrey: I guess you really do need the day off from working out but it sucks that you're feeling that way now. I hope you feel better soon!
