I'm certainly not a Hillary fan, but I can't say I disagree with him!!! Just odd to be coming from the VP!! My step-father was at this speech.
There's praising a colleague effusively. And then, there's going so far that the praise diminishes yourself. At a town hall in Nashua, N.H., this afternoon, Senator Joe Biden seemed to veer off into the latter when talking about Hillary Clinton, whom many of her supporters wanted Barack Obama to pick as his running mate instead of Biden. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America," Biden said. "Let’s get that straight. She’s a truly close personal friend; she is qualified to be president of the United States of America. She’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me, but she is first-rate.” Republican John McCain's campaign quickly sent out a video of it. It has been courting Clinton's supporters, especially white women, and the polls suggesting McCain is making inroads. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/09/biden_clinton_a.html |

There was some discussion but the station I watched after I switched from Beck seemed to think it impossible. Sorry I don't know if it was Fox or CNN as I was flipping back and forth. |

Do you think Hillary would do it? Could she live with herself as second choice? I think that would piss me of personally!!! lol!

The point the commentator made, again sorry I don't know which station, was she has little to gain. She needs to look like she's helping and being a good Democrat but that she doesn't gain much by helping him above and beyond the call of duty.
He is supposed to be meeting with Bill Clinton and there seemed to be much speculation as to what the Clinton's could do for him at this point. I really don't see what she'd have to gain by taking on the job at this point other than being seen as rescuing the ticket. She has a great deal to gain with the party by saying after the fact, I told you so, if she has done do dilegence in "helping" but he loses. I'm not sure at this point what she gains by rescuing him. |

I just caught a few minutes of Glenn Beck this morning talking about this. He said he thinks the Clintons may be setting Obama up. I'll sure be curious to see how this plays out. I'm kinda with Kelly. Hillary will not settle for second choice, or second place. She knows she is the more worthy candidate for presidency.

If I was her, there's no way I'd jump on that train. It's derailed and islooking for the station. I'm no Hillary fan, but that would be suicide. She's better than that. Plus, if Nobama dumbs Biden he will look like more of a weakling than he already does. He made his choice....................... |
