I do a lot of watercolor backgrounds in Journals with mixed media paper so it can handle water color paint. I also use acrylic paints. Then I write my journaling on those backgrounds. I am not artistic at all but with this type of art journals you can just kind of make it very abstract. You can watch some YouTube Videos to see what it is like.

I think Art Journaling is something that I would be interested in learning about as well.
I suppose you can incorporate different mediums depending on your style. I would love to incorporate photos and stamping.

Yes, I use stamps and stencils and photos in some of my journals!!

Just got back from conference. ..we actually did a scrapbook page using our new water color line! It is so fun and so beautiful! We started out simple by just painting the background sky on our "Up" inspired page..the house and balloon scene. It is so cute! I love that we can add a new element to our pages from easy to detailed...the sky's the limit! Some consultants were sent the product ahead of time and their artwork was amazing! And that's just one new element out of many we're adding to our new line!
