Make & Sell Your Own?

Hi folks. I see lots of forums for people who assemble crafts for other companies. Where are the threads for people who make and sell their own, particularly jewelry?

You can start your own thread here although there are a few already. They may be on the second page. I wish there were more activity about making and selling your own stuff instead of making something for someone else.

Thanks lorah. I wonder if it would be better to start something in the Crafters section of the forum, or in the Jewelry section. Am looking to start a hobby that'll keep my hands busy (and hopefully out of the cookie jar) over the cold winter months when the weather's too nasty to be driving around looking for things to shoot.

This is the crafters section. My concern would be that your post would be deleted in the jewelry section because that is for jewelry companies, not crafters. The only advice I would have for you is to do your research and find your niche. Jewelry is a horrifically saturated market but if you have something unique, you can do well.

I make my own products, though not jewelry, and I'm really wanting to connect with people who do make their own product as well.

Cloth diapers (3 diaper types + covers in 4 sizes), unpaper towels, cloth wipes, wool dryer balls and raw baltic amber jewelry (for healing and inflammation).

I am a newly joined member (today!) and I, too, have been searching the forums for a place to post for people who make and sell their own crafts. I posted in some, feeling it wasn't quite the right fit, but didn't know where else to post. I don't assemble for someone else, I make my own and I have a craft supply site on Etsy, in addition to a separate business on there for my homemade craft items. I love Etsy, btw. Any tips or suggestions from someone seasoned as to where is the best place to post for crafter would be greatly appreciated!
