Default Effort to Restore Children’s Play Gains Momentum

Hi alll,
I thought this would be a good article to share with everyone here. It;s from the NY Times. The "art" of unregulated, free play is being lost by many of our youth today and many of our companies that have great items for kids (books for creativity, toys, games or stuffed animal friends) are really helping our high tech kids get in touch with a very important basic skill. Keep doing what you're doing.... you're making a difference for today and tomorrow.

Anyone want to share comments about this article?

Amanda

Great article!! I agree! There have been many more articles about the importance of play for children. I think society is starting to see the problems with so much technology for our young children.

Default Christmas Stocking Stuffer Promo

This past Christmas, I was selling Fun outdoor play toys for under $5 each.
The best "line" I used was aimed at the parents/Grandparents and was "I don't know about you - but I didn't get $100 toys at Christmas Growing up. Kids are spoiled and don't appreciate things anymore.
They just want to plant their butts in front of a Computer or TV and "be entertained"
Get them out in the yard, playing with friends, they'll have a blast.

Did wonders for my sales.........
