Lightbulb Keeping track of/projecting your net worth

Hey all, have found it pretty challenging to keep good track of my net worth and wondering how others feel about it/how they keep track of it. So with that:

How important is it to you to know what your net worth is at any point in time?

How do you currently keep track of this number?

Hi Maggie,

I think it's extremely important to keep track of your net worth.

And even more important to analyze the reason for a change, either way. Continue to do the things that increase it, and stop the things that decrease it. Sounds logical, but you'd be surprised how many don't.

To calculate it, add up all your assets and subtract you liabilities at a point in time. Simple, but close enough for 99% of people.
