gnucash is an accounting software that you can get free. I've not used it so I can't say how versatile it is.
I personally use Open Office spreadsheets. The reason is that I can format them to suit myself. And over the years I've made a lot of adjustments to that formatting. |

I found a spreadsheet online for free and tweaked it to fit my needs. If you google "business income and expense spreadsheet", you're likely to find one that works for you. The one I use keeps track of all my expenses and income every month, plus how much I need to stash away for quarterly taxes.

I use a program called TaxBot and love it. It has an app for the phone and I can track expenses and mileage on the go. Just snap a shot of my receipts on the phone and they are saved. $10 a month. Quite the deal if you ask me!

I operate a bookkeeping business so I use QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Self-Employed is a product that you can use to track your expenses, mileage and even gives you an estimate on how much taxes you should be paying quarterly. I highly recommend it.

I download Excel versions of my credit card statements and charge the transactions to the correct expense accounts.

I am back to doing things the old fashioned way. I am now using a paper planner to track expenses, goals, to do’s and contacts. I love these new planners. Check it out in my signature link.
