yes, I always include a couple of business cards in my packages when I mail purchases to customers. Postcards are good also

I think they are still very valuable to have. They probably aren't given out as much as in a traditional setting but it is much more lasting to hand someone a business card with your web address than to just tell it to them and hope they remember the information.

absolutely - as soon as someone finds out what I do they ask for a business card or catalog so I carry both around.

Yes, indeed they are valuable still - especially if you get into networking meetings with offline business owners as I do. Reciprocating by offering your card after someone offers theirs is polite and normal.
Mind you don't become a 'card spammer'. Only offer a card when it's polite and natiral to do so. |

I believe they are still necessary. I send them out whenever I ship a package to a customer or someone asks me on the streets where they can buy the products I make and sell. I keep cards in my purse. It's a great way to promote your business.
