View Full Version : New graduate from Canada

I am a new MT grad from Canada, I am having trouble finding many companies that hire internationally. Any help with company names would be wonderful.

I have found a few, but there seems to so many (that I can find) that only hire US citizens. Which I am not.

When I do find a place that hires Canadians, it seems that not many will except CV's from anyone with less than 2-3 years experience.

I did almost get a job a Sten-tel. I got 96.222% on the transcription portion. You needed 96.5% to get the job. I had passed everything (even the phone interview), was a tad disappointing to say the least.

So any helps, hints, advice and names of companies or directions to said companies or list of would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

I asked some MTs about companies in Canada, and one of them suggested these two, but I know nothing about the companies or whether they are actually hiring:

About Us - Accentus (http://www.accentus.ca/about_us/index.php)
MedQuist Canada Co. (http://www.medquistcanada.com/)

When a company says they want experience, I'd recommend sending a resume anyway, sometimes they'll give a newbie a chance even if they don't advertise that they will.

I'd be tempted to try to get Sten-tel to reconsider accepting that score.

Good luck!
