View Full Version : Looking for information

Hi there,

I live in Oregon and am looking for people who sell Scrapbooking stuff. I am not sure that it is something I want to join as a consultant but I am looking for catalogs to possibly buy some things.

I am new to scrapbooking and am tentatively dipping my toe in to make some scrapbooks for my daughter. She is 5 and is in to pictures about when she was a baby. Plus she starts kindergarten this year and I want to do something special for her school years.

Feel free to PM me with info!

Hi Ella,

I also have a 5-year-old daughter entering kindergarten, so I can relate to what you're experiencing! She and her 7-year-old sister both love to hear the stories and see the pictures of themselves when they were babies. Are you interested in digital memory book design, or do you prefer to stick to just paper? I personally love digi because I don't have to find room to store lots of papers and tools. If I had to drag out tons of stuff every time I wanted to work on a page, only to have to clear it all away and return it to storage a short time later, I'd probably just keep putting it off!

Anywho... Heritage Makers has an online design studio. You just log into your free private account from any computer with high-speed internet access anytime you want to work on one of your projects. When you've completed it, HM publishes it into a high quality bound book which they ship directly to you. I'd be happy to tell you more if you're interested. :)

In order to get started with any company, you have to purchase some sort of kit through them. Buying off ebay won't make her a consultant.

Memory Works is a good option too. Low start up and no minimums or quotas.

I see this thread was started years ago, like in 2006. I am a wife and mom from Maryland. My daughter will be 3 in June. I love taking pictures and scrapbooking both traditionally and digitally. I actually still take a picture of my daughter every 18th of the month and I also took a picture of myself every Monday while I was pregnant. I just signed up to be a Creative Memories Consultant in January. My daughter loves taking pictures and seeing pictures of herself and our family in our scrapbooks. I made one of just her that was a full day from start to finish, brushing her teeth, going potty, eating, sleeping... The Creative Memories kit is only $70.00 and sometimes, like when I joined, they add bonus items for free. I got a free Disney scrapbook as a bonus for starting in January. The only thing I don't like so far is the retail quarterly sales have to be $500.00 to remain active. I am going to start doing quarter auctions instead of parties. If anyone needs anything just ask or you can go to Creative Memories ? Your Life. Your Story. Your Way. (http://www.creativememories.com) and search for Samantha Perouty. Just so you know, Creative Memories is not the only scrapbooking company out there and I know it is expensive, so to me it is better to preserve your pictures anyway you can instead of not doing it at all, but I do believe Creative Memories albums are far better quality than any others. Remember, get your pictures off your digital camera and create a tangible display!
