View Full Version : My Keep Me Inline Diary

06-22-2007, 07:11 PM
Ok, so I am going to start an online diary because I need to lose the 15 lbs by August 11th ( at this point I would be happy with 10lbs...LOL)
I bought a BEAUTIFUL white spaghetti strapped summer dress for my BF's pig roast, and although it fits nicely.....it would look even better with 10 to 15 more lbs gone. This is my first dress in 10 years. I have NOT worn a dress since my wedding day! Itiscasual yet sexy so I want to look my BEST in it!!!So this will keep me accountable (hopefully...LOL)

I am still at 190lbs.

My measurements as of June 17th, 2007(this is really hard for me to post publically)
Bust...40 inches ( I know this is down from 44 inches)
Waist...39 inches
Hips...45 inches
Belly Button...43 1/2 inches
Right arm... 11 1/2 inches
left arm... 11 1/2 inches
Right thigh... 20 1/2 inches
Left thigh...20 1/2 inches
Right Calf...14 1/2 inches
Left Calf...15 inches

So here I go.....
Breakfast....3 thin slices of low fat ham with a bowl of lettuce and baby carrots topped with fat free ranch dressing
Lunch...60 calorie, no fat yogart in White Chocolate Raspberry (and it was yummy)
Snack...rice krispie treat (only 1.5 grams of fat..YEAH)
Dinner...Grilled Country Style Pork Ribs ( I was bad, I had 2 of them), plain boiled potatoes, 1 corn on the cob, and some steamed broccoli plain.
Snack...lettuce, baby carrots, 1/3 of a cucumber with fat free ranch dressing.
Drinks....1 full glass of water, and 2 glasses of Diet 7-Up ( i know bad bad...will do flavored water the rest of the night)

Excersize....So far a 3/4 mile walk with about 1/8 of a mile of me carrying my son on my back (he got tired ) And another 1/4 mile of me pushing him in a stroller ( gave up carrying him on my back so I stopped by the car to pick up his stroller....LOL). Also did about 20 minutes of stretching and excersizing with resistance band.

Ok so that is it so far for today!

What a great idea - a "keeping me inline diary!" We'll keep you accountable, but I bet you will have no problem. You've set a goal and I know you will meet it http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

06-22-2007, 09:21 PM
Thanks!!!! I figure if I pig out, you all will yell at me (which is what I need)http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
I want to be SMOKIN' Hot!!!!
: )

06-23-2007, 05:13 AM
You're doing really awesome, Dawn! Glad you started this to keep you accountable. I can't wait to see a pic of you in that white dresshttp://forum.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

06-23-2007, 10:56 AM
Thanks Angie.
: )

06-23-2007, 04:45 PM

Breakfast....No time for breakfast ( I know bad)
Lunch....Homemade Turkey hoagie with no cheese, fat free mayo, and lettuce plus a Rice Krispie Treat
Snack...few slices of turkey with a rice krispie treat
Dinner....I was a little bad. I got Chinese, but it was very good. I got steamed broccoli with steamed chicken NO SAUCE with 1 cup of steamed plain white rice ( I love the fact the cook there knows me and makes it special for me...YUM). Here is the bad part...I also had about a 1/2 a cup of wonton broth with a 1/2 of a wonton (no meat), and a 1/2 cup of chicken fried rice.
Snack...few slices of thin sliced ham, carrots and cucumbers with fat free ranch dressing.

Excersizing good....35 minutes Yoga Booty Ballet, and stretches with resistance band!Edited by: OrangeSmoke20

06-23-2007, 05:04 PM
UGH! I've been wanting Chinese really bad lately. I only get a hankering every once in a while, but it's been bad lately and one of my favorite things is the wonton noodles!!! Are they that bad?? http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif I've never checked. I think it's awesome that you got no sauce!! I don't know if I could do that! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Your journal made me extremely hungry, I'm off to eat now....http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Keep up the great work!!Edited by: jnmurra

06-23-2007, 08:59 PM
Thanks and I am sorry I made you hungry. This is going to be TMI but I ALWAYS crave chinese right before my dear little friend arriveshttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif It has been like that for almost a year and half. And if I don't give in, man watch out because I get irritablehttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif.
I know that Chicken with Broccoli in the brown sauce is high in fat. For a pint it is like 18 grams of fat and 300 calories. I looked up on calorieking.com the wonton noodle and 1 is 3 grams of fat and 55 calories, so if you eat the 3 that comes in the pint of wonton soup it is 12 grams of fat not including the broth.
I looked up Sweet and Sour pork and there is a whopping 46 grams of fat in a whole dish (which I take would be a pint) and 1100 calories! Looks like I won't be having any Sweet and Sour pork or chicken for a LONG TIME!

Wow, I didn't realize Chinese was so bad for you! I love it too and get really bad cravings for it every now and then. My hang up lately has been Mexican food! I KNOW that's horrible for you!!

Dawn, you are doing great!! Keep it up!! And now that you've got that hankering satisfied you can kick it up a notch over the next few days. Drink lots of water!!!!

06-23-2007, 10:01 PM
Thanks Krystal! I am hoping the craving is gone until next month. However your post about pizza has me wanting some NOW...LOL! I never thought pizza would be my weak spot but it soooooo is!
Yes Chinese...BAD!The sauces, the frying....but oh soooo good!!! Mexican food will probably land me in the hospital in extreme pain so I won't have to worry about eating that ever....LOL!
Trying on the water. I am NOT a water person. I have been adding flavoring to it just to get it down. The only water that I really like is Aquafina.....may have to go pick up a case to try to increase my water consumption.
: )

06-24-2007, 07:38 AM
Oh, great! Do you know I went to bed last night with images of wonton soup and sweet& sour chicken and general tso's and fried rice in my head??? My craving for chinese food has never been this bad. The funny thing is - I can only eat chinese food when I get a craving for it, which doesn't happen often, thank goodness! But yes, I think TOTM is on its way, and this past week, I have craved it every single day and last night was the worst!

I knew the fried rice was bad and the egg rolls and some of the other meals, but had no idea that wonton noodles were so bad! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif I mean I assumed they were high in carbs because of the noodle, but not high in fat too! Well, I don't sip/drink the broth. What we do (my husband got me into doing this) is take out the noodles and put hot mustard sauce on them and we discard the broth. Delicious!!!

OMG! I am going to have to get something from the chineseplace today or I'm not going to make it! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley24.gif

06-24-2007, 12:56 PM
Sorry I made you crave Chinese. What is it about the TOTM that makes you want chinese....I wonder if it is the sodium! Although most of it is bad for you, I figure give in to the craving before it gets to bad and then you eat a ton of it.
My craving right now is Pizza....been thinking about it since Krystal posted in her TJ diary. That is one I am trying to fight off because I just cannot have 1 slice....LOL!
Hope you get to stasify your craving : )

06-24-2007, 12:57 PM

Breakfast....Few slices of thin cut turkey with a No Fat yogert in White Chocolate Raspberry!
Lunch....Thin slice of Delmonico Steak with a rice kristpie treat (the steak looked so good at the store, I just grabbed it....LOL)
Snack...I had a rice krispie treat and 2 pieces of thin sliced ham
Dinner...Had that delicious chicken recipe that was posted here. I served it over thin pasta. I think the fat intake on the whole meal was about 10 grams.
Snack...Bowl of Rice Krispies with fat free milk, and a few slices of thin sliced turkey.

Excersizes... 3/4 mile walk with normal stretching and excersizes with resistance band.

On a side note, and I am not trying to get my hopes up too much....but I fit into a pair of size 14 jeans today and all my size 18 tops are definitely getting looser. Thinking of buying a size 16 top to see if I can wear t comfortably. Also I have started developing really nice tone muscles in my arms and legs...and hubby told me last night he definitely sees a difference in my thighs....WHOOO HOOOO!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

Oh my, I also have recently been craving Chinese a LOT. I haven't given in yet but every so often I will still go and then I just work out extra hardhttp://forum.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif I also love Mexican food and Pizza! Hey Dawn, did you seeour pizza recipe in my 1st LIALI newsletter that Isent out? It's sooo good, you should try it!

06-24-2007, 07:53 PM
What is it about Chinese that makes us crave it so? I am thinking the sodium...LOL! I did see the recipe and Iam thinking of trying it lateon this week. Right now, I have Pizza Hut on the mind and they keep showing the Pazone, and it makes me want to call PH and yell at them for making it look so good!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

06-25-2007, 12:20 PM
Today is going to be a big kick in the butt day. TOTM is coming and so are the cravings. I got the Chinese craving taken care of but now comes the crunchies.

Breakfast...Few pieces of thin sliced turkey
Lunch....Homemade roast beef and ham sandwich with 1 slice of thin sliced cheese and fat free mayo with lettuce.
Snack...Nacho Chips with a few slices of thin sliced ham. I tried to stay away from the Nacho chips but my brain said it was either the nacho chips or the yummy cookies sitting in my kitchen....the nacho chips won!

Update...Today was a bad bad bad. I am actually embarrassed to post what I am about to post.
Dinner...2 grilled country ribs, plain white rice, and steamed broccoli.
Snack #1....A very fattening cookie : (
Snack #2...A few slices of thin sliced ham
Snack #3...more slices of thin ham and cucumbers and carrots with fat free ranch dressing

Have I said it enough...I hate this TOTM!!!! I am petrified to step on the scale tomorrow. I get seem to get enough salt, crunch, or food. I wanna cryhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif
Edited by: OrangeSmoke20

06-25-2007, 12:44 PM
Beat those cravings down, girl! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif Hopefully they won't get too bad. I remember reading something about TOTM and cravings somewhere in one of my bazillion books/mags and what to do about it. I will have to see if I can find it again.
Well, wouldn't you know - DH and I went to get Chinese last night and, and, and - they were closed!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif He messed around until after 7:00 and so we got there and they had already closed for the day. He's got a hankering too, so he told me to go back this afternoon while he's at work and get some for dinner. I told him, "Um, no, it's YOUR fault we didn't get any tonight, so forget it!" I have a feeling one of us will be there again before the week is over! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

06-25-2007, 01:02 PM
I am sooo trying to beat those cravings down. I hate them with a passion! At least I am giving into my cravings for dinner tonight.....grilled country style ribs!
Sorry you didn't get your chinese. Maybe it was a sign that you are not suppose to eat it...LOL!!! I hope you are stronger then I am when it comes to cravings! When I was pregnant with my son, I nonstop craved oval spiced ham. I went through about 2 lbs per day...the lunch meat guy thought I was nuts...LOL! My daughter it was sauerkraut and every friday I made hubby drive to this little whole in the wall restraunt/bar to bring me home a huge container of sauerkraut. After about a month, they had it waiting for him every friday...lol! Needless to say I give in to my cravings : (

06-26-2007, 11:05 AM

06-26-2007, 11:16 AM

07-01-2007, 09:40 PM
Didn't post yesterday because I was just too tired.
Eating was great yesterday for the most part...except at dinner time my mom took us out to an old childhood resturant for dinner and I ate some fried chicken (It brought back so many memories) but that was the only bad thing I ate.
My water was awesome yesterday. 3 16oz bottles of plain water! Whoo Hoo!! That is a big deal for me!
And man did I exercise yesterday,,,we went ot the philly zoo so I got about 3-4 miles of walking, plus hubby and I started doing some weight lifting together and I got some serious weight lifting done yesterday in addition to my stretches!
Today....eating was alright...I was a little off today because we had so much to do, but I didn't eat anything super bad. Excersizing didn't happen...I took a rest day because my muscles are tired.
Tomorrow I will be back on track!
: )

YAAAAY!!!! I seen from the check in's that you got your SI6! How do you like it? I look forward to keeping each other on trackhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif I'm off to do mine now.

07-18-2007, 09:50 PM
I did get mine. The SI6 was definitely a challenge especially on the joints (especially my knees and neck). I like it but I think I may have to skip a day here and there...I don't want to agrivate my neck or back. Definitely got me sweating. Will most likely try it again tomorrow to see if I can take 2 days in a row....will definitely keep sticking with it.
I will say though on the down side...it is a little boring. Yoga Booty Ballet and Taebo are alot more fun! But heck if it helps me lose weight then it is worth it! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif
I saw you did yours...GOOD JOB!

You are doing really great, Dawn! So glad to see you got more water in and your exercise is looking good toohttp://forum.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

07-25-2007, 09:27 PM
Thanks Angie! The water has been difficult but adding Crystal Light has definitely helped!

OK measurement time : ) I think I did good considering I haven't lost a signficant amount of weight lately!
Belly...41 inches (Lost 3/4 of an inch)
Waist...37 1/2 inches (lost 1/2 inch)
Hips...43 3/4 inches (lost 1 inch...WHOO HOO)
Bust...39 inches (The same)
Rt Thigh...19 3/4 inches (loss of 1/2 inch)
Lt Thigh...19 1/2 (lost 1/2 inch)
Rt Calf...15 inches (which is a gain of an inch but I truly believe that is all muscle....my legs are LOOKING GOOD)
Lt Calf...14 1/2 inches (Again a gain of a inch)
Rt arm...11 3/4 (Gain of a 1/4 inch....again thinking this is muscle because I have some definition now....WHOO HOO)
Lt Arm...11 3/4 inches (Again gain of 1/4 inch)
So a total los of 3 1/4 inches in the right places and 2 1/2 inches of good gain because I really believe it is muscle.

So an update....my neighbor comes over the other day because I wanted to show my her the FABULOUS work my hubby did to our entrance way. I was wearing really short shorts (the jogging kind) because I just got done working out. She looks at me and says I hate you. I started laughing and said why...she says you always had really nice legs but now your legs are FABULOUS....Look at the definition and muscle in your calves and your thighs are to die for. I was LIKE WHOO HOOO! Then when my mom was over, I came down wearing a new outfit and she said WOW you are looking awesome and that outfit really shows.....so although the scale is not saying that I am losing much, there is something definitely happening : ) YEAH!!!!!

Ok food today...

Water good...approx 48 ounces

Boy I haven't update...shame shame on me.
Exercising has been really good except for today. I was achey and feeling run down...think it was because it got cool all of sudden and my body just couldn't handle it. Been doing alot of walking with Walk Away the Pounds. I love love love that exercise routine. I have been doing it almost everyday except when I try to get some Slim in 6 in. Also almost every night I do 20 minutes of pilates. Haven't done it in 2 days but I will do it tomorrow.
Eating has been good. Even though I haven't been eating super dooper low fat this last week....the weight is maintaining and I have lost another pound. I hoping and praying I am finally getting my metobolism working so I don't have to work out so super hard to lose a pound.
Totally impressed on my water. I only drink diet 7-up at dinner time, but I am slowly taking that way. Drinking water (with a little flaovring to help it go down) has been ok! Didn't do super hot through out the day with the water in take but tonight ROCKED
Almost to my first goal of 175...then next goal will be 160!

08-12-2007, 09:25 PM
