I admit that I need motivation on a DAILY basis.

How about you? What are your daily motivations strategies?

Here are just a couple:

- I re-read my goals everyday.
- I think about getting pregnant soon- and I want to be as fit as I can be before that happens.
- I think about motivating others with my success
- I look at my weekly measurement &amp; stats to see how many inches i've lost
- Look at progress picutures

I carry around a picture of me at my starting weight of 279lbs. When I feel the urge to give up, or eat something "FATTY", I pull out my picture, and realize I NEVER want to go back.....

I keep a journal and use it every day to plug in my workouts and I can see how far I have come by looking at my inch/weight loss stats that are in the journal as well.

I also look back at all my pictures. And planninganother vacation to Jamaica keeps me motivated.

Something else that keeps me motivated is when people tell me I have been an inspiration to them. That means a lot to me.

Looking at my kids everyday! I am an 'older' Mom and I want to keep healthy and in shape because I want to be around for them for a long while. They are very energetic and I want to be able to keep up with them and play with them. Edited by: Mothermomtotwo

Those are great ways to keep motivated. I think that is most of my problem is I haven't had something to keep me going and so I usually quit after a couple weeks. Thanks everyone for the ideas.

ahhhh! I have my 20 year reunion coming up ... and there's a porn star in our graduating class. I don't want her to look better than me. LOLOLOL I'm kidding of course ... she's had a lot more work done than I have, so she's going to look better. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Health is my biggest motivator... I have every disease known to man in my family... diabetes, cancer, heart disease you name it, and I've watched my relatives gain weight and become unhealthy and I don't want my kids to have to worry about me.

Also, my husband I got married when I was pregnant (sinners, I know http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif), and we just ran up to the smokies with no family or anything. We promised them we'd renew our vows on our 5 year anniversary... which will be March 08. I had already started saying "well, we'll wait until our 10 year" and making excuses, but I finally admitted to myself that it was because I wanted to look good and decided I don't want to wait 5 years. So my motivation is picturing how awesome I want to look at my "real" wedding.

My daughters are my motivation. I want to be able to play with them as much as possible. I also don't want them to struggle with their weight and dieting when they get older. I try to set an example of eating right and exercising... I don't want them to even know there is such a thing a dieting! :)

Honestly, I don't have a motivation strategy. I'm a firm believer in motivation coming from within. I just made the decision that I will not look like I did anymore. So I decided to make this a habit. Turbo Jam was so much fun that I rarely had to make myself do it. Even if I didn't feel like it, I just told myself "it's only 1 hour" and I'd just keep pushing play. If I missed a workout I doubled up the next day. But I was going to stick to my committment.

I'm an all or nothing chick so when I decide to do something, nothing (except God of course) will stop me. SoI guess that's my stategy. To make a decision and not beat myself up. If I slip and eat bad one day, I eat super clean the next and make sure not to have that temptation around next time.

My changing body is my motivation I guess. I am loving my body and watching my belly shrink. Now healthy eating and exercising is such a habit I start to freak out if I miss a workout or eat badsmileys/smiley36.gif It's like not brushing your teeth. I feel "dirty" if I don't workout, seriouslysmileys/smiley36.gif

My beginning motivation was Angie (Thanks Angie), and she still is my motivation! In addition to Angie, me looking FABULOUS and getting the responses I have been getting from people seeing my lose my weight has been alot of motivation as well! I always thought I was ok being heavier, but then when I started to see the results and I started feeling better about looking in mirror...that helped me move it along! I also have more energy which allows me to do more with my kiddos which is another motivation...guess I have lots of motivations...LOL!
