Default teletech audio error message help

I need help please I see a lot of women here are familiar with teletech. I am thankful that i recently was hired on. I want to use my laptop but it has hd audio,so the avaya soft phone does not recognize my headset. I have called tech support and they say "sorry. good luck" they dont have a fix. I was wondering if any one here has a work around for this. I would greatly appreciat any suggestions.
