Soft Pretzels

Straight from the oven these pretzels are better than ones from the movie! Better than that though, they are quicker and easier to make.

1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon kosher (coarse) salt


Step 1-Coat two large rimmed baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Cut the dough into four equal pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll each piece into a 24-inch rope, form into a pretzel shape and place on the baking sheets.

Step 2-In a small bowl, beat together the egg white and water, brush over the top of each pretzel. Sprinkle evenly with the salt. Loosely cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place to rise for 15 minutes.

Step 3-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
