Kafta Burgers

 
This Mediterranean twist on the boring burger will become an instant classic with your family!
Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef (lean)
1 ½ cups fine chopped onion
1 cup parsley
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paparika
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon pepper
8 slices tomato
8 lettuce leaves
4 pitas halved crosswise

Preparation

Step 1- Mix beef, onion, parsley salt paparika, cinamon, pepper. Shape in 8 patties 1/2 ' thick. Broil and grill 4- 6 " from heat source, turning once, 10-15 mins. (medium-well done) or until done as desired. Place burger, tomato slice, a lettuce leaf into each pita halves.
    
Yield: 8 servings
