Body weight, clothes, hair, makeup - these are constant issues in the lives of women. We worry about them and spend countless hours fretting over them. Even though we may tell people we are happy with our body image; many of us deep down are not.
So, what do we do? This is not a new problem. We can start by growing strong in our individuality and learning to like our own company. We can learn to see the beauty in us that others see. If you like yourself, others will too.
We need to stop watching rail-thin movie stars and trying to attain the unattainable. Many of the same women you are trying to emulate, are trying to emulate someone else! I'm here to tell you that happiness is a state of mind; not a state of size. And we can waste 90% of our lives being miserable because we disdain who we are!
I want each of you ladies to make a list of 10 things you like about yourself. Put it somewhere that you can see it on a daily basis and recite it back to yourself. Then, go to your closet and get rid of clothing that doesn't make you feel like you look very good. It is better to have five things that make you feel attractive, than 30 items that don't. Start noticing when people compliment you. How many women get complimented like this? "Gosh, you're a size 3 and that really makes me thankful for your friendship!" No! Other people see our beauty because of who we are. It's about time that we learn to discover our beauty as well.
There is only one you. You have something unique and special to offer this world that noone else can ever offer. God thinks you are beautiful. Who are we to argue?
