There are many schools that use the Career Step curriculum. Each of them is required to be approved on their own merits - the curriculum is only one portion of the requirements.

Does anyone know why these courses are now only available to North Carolina residents?

Unhappy

I was wondering the same thing. I was about to register for the April classes and saw that it was now only available to NC residents. It made me very sad. Guess I just have to save up the $2000 to go through CS

Don't give up yet - months ago I was searching to see the prices other schools charge for the Career Step course and there was one other that charged $175, but I don't recall what one it was. I'm thinking it was something like Piedmont, Pierre, something like that.

I think you are referring to Piedmont Community College. It looks like they have also changed their residency requirements.

The more you type - the faster you will get. Practice, practice, practice. How bad to you want to be a transcriptionist?
