Default What's it like working for Lionbridge?

Hi.

I asked this question on another thread but didn't get a response. No problem. Can anyone tell me what it's like working for Lionbridge? I recently applied for one of their positions but haven't heard anything yet.

Thanks for any feedback.

Hi, Lollypopgirl, there is a Google Rater folder here that has discussions about Lionbridge, LF and Google rater, and you might have better luck get answers to your question. Good luck to you!

I've seen a few people post in the forum that Lionbridge is a good company to work for. But I don't work for them, so cannot say for certain. That's just what I've seen.

Not sure what position you are working but I have been working for them for almost a year and I love it..You sign an agreement with them so a lot can't be discussed but if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them if I can!

Hi Princm42.

I sent you a private message. I'm not currently working for them. I sent my resume last week but haven't heard anything yet. Thanks.

I applied with them as well. I don't know what kind of tasks they wanted you to do, but I did hear back from them. I ended up not taking the tests, because I read through their contract, and you have to submit an invoice, and then they pay you 30 days later. That is an awful long time to wait to get paid.

Seriously? You stopped pursuing the job because you have to wait 30 days to get paid? Wow...

Those positions are like gold and are VERY difficult to get. Many people would kill to get hired by them. (Not literally, of course!...haha) And do remember, it's not an employee position where you get paid every 2 weeks or so. It's an independent contractor job, so basically you're in business for yourself, which is why the schedule is so flexible.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling. Hope you find the right job that meets your approval...

Default Many jobs pay monthly

30 days sounds like a long time, but many contract jobs pay this way. Not to mention most State jobs pay monthly.
I currently work a temp job that pays weekly and it is horrible! 30 days....flexibility...and a sense of self worth sound great to me!
Have a great day ladies.

Hi all

New here and just hired by Lionbridge. I'm confused. A friend of mine referred me to Lionbridge and she was paid weekly for the past 5 months but now I'm reading they pay monthly. Completely confused! Any updated info would be great!!

Thanks so much!
