Default Anyone got any good customer incentive tips?

I'm trying to come up with some good/effective referral incentive tips for my Scentsy candles business. Anyone got any good one that have worked for you?

Discounts are good to give to loyal customers. Free samples or an opportunity for a customer to choose 1 product of their choice.

We give each customer $100 to shop for new items spread out over 5 months. It is to get them to try new products that they would not normally try. We also offer discounted memberships. Normally 29.00.

The cool thing is this is all on the company dime.

When customer refers other customers to us they either earn 7 or 20% of the order each month.

For in-homes we offer door prizes for bringing guests.

Have fun and here is to your success!

"Incentives" can work both ways - I'm just saying.

I want people to buy from my company because they're already looking for those sorts of products, and to re-order regularly at the full retail price, as over 80% of new customers then do, because they value the products, and the products have become part of their routine monthly shopping, not because they're being given some sort of "incentive".

I don't want my newer distributors giving people "discounts"/"inventives" (which, actually, our system - mercifully - makes it terribly difficult for people to do) or doing anything else which would reduce their own income and duplicate a pattern in which other distributors do the same.

For someone running a home-based business, retailing products manufactured by a third party (whether as MLM, affiliate sales, party plan, or whatever), trying to "compete on price" is a big mistake, in the long run, in my opinion.
