Red face How Do You Keep Your Business Records/Tax Savings With AVON.

I am not naturally organized, so I have to find a simple solution that works for me. I make a word document for each campaign that states what I bought for myself, including products & business supplies. I also save each invoice. In addition to that, I save all business related receipts in a mesh pencil holder, that goes in a binder in my car.

AVON saves us at tax time. Without AVON, we would be paying taxes on $x,xxx worth of income per month. But because we have our home-based AVON business, we are able to instead get a large check from the IRS each year. If you know someone who is considering or has a second job, you could use that as an opportunity to show them how having a home-based business is better than having a second job, in most cases. There is a whole market of people who could be helped by sharing that information with them!

I keep a box on the floor of my office for receipts.
Mileage is also one to track - Its surprising how fast things add up!

Have a question,
What do you need to report to the IRS when selling AVON? You mentioned mileage, what about buying brochures....?

I track ALL expenses associated with my business.

Books, Demos used for demonstration purposes, samples, mileage (you will me surprised how fast mileage adds up - you can get a mileage log book to keep in your car at any Staples) etc

If it costs me money, and its used in building my business it is an expense.

I have two three teir sterilite containers with the clear front, one of them I use to keep all my receipts in.

I use AV4 for customer receipts and keep up with payments and I bought the Quicken Home & Business to track the rest (I haven't used it yet so can't comment on it). Last year I used neat receipts along with an excell program I created.

Still working on a solid plan for this one...

Great minds and all that!

I use MBA for Avon to track and invoice! It is only $20 and good for you AND another rep to share. Love the free brochure updating tool so I dont have to manually put into the program (like I did with Quickbooks)

Yeah I would probably recommend MBA for reps because of the cost in AV4.

I did a trial run in AV4 and it was just too hard to figure out (for me anyway). MBA is pretty simple.
