Hello all! I have been a lurker for quite some time and have learned so much from all of you. I decided to try fiverr to learn more about what people want from a freelance writer. After a couple of articles and good reviews I received an order for five articles all related to a specific person. The client also sent a reference website for each article. The last website is not related in any way. The keyword is Scott Tucker CBS and the website is Perez Hilton's gossip site. I sent a message to the client asking for clarification and received a response that says," Don't worry about it. Just get them done by Monday. All I want you to do is review the websites and use the keyword."

I have two questions. One, should I list the web sites in the articles, and two, for the last article would you find a website relevant to the keyword or just use the gossip site somehow?

I hope it is OK to post this kind of question here. If it not I apologize in advance. Thank you for any advice!

They just want you to work the keyword in to a sentence that's somehow coherent, even if it's not exactly what the article is about. So, if your keyword is blue hats, and your article is about saving money, for example, you might write, "Women interested in saving money may want to buy their blue hats at store x instead of store y, blahblahblah..." They're keyword stuffing, which isn't the best plan, SEO wise. But hey, if it pays you, it pays you.

It sounds like his main concern is getting the keyword into the article. I'm sure you are writing web content for the engines, probably not something a real person will see.

Thank you guys for your answers. That was so hard for me to write! I still researched and wrote great quality articles because I just can't bring myself to submit something I am not proud of. Maybe as time goes on I will get used to writing content for keywords only, but I can't do it now! :D I am sure you all understand where I am coming from.

If you can produce quality content with keywords that are unobtrusive and compatible with the content, you will do well. The web is littered with awful content, badly written articles with keyword obvious to the point of ruining the article.
