Has anyone had success in modifying the zencart template? May I have a look at your site?

What kinds of modifications do you want to make? I'm not sure how many Zen-cart hacks exist. I have one client (http://beautifultradition.com/index.php?main_page=) who uses ZC - all I did was change the colors for her.
OsCommerce, on the other hand, has a lot of hacks. I did this (http://www.theswankyrose.com/) site by installing the Simple Templating System. It gets away from the default 3-columned layout.

I like your OsCommerce with Simple Templating System and of course your design.
Definitely that break up the osc default layout completely and still having the functionality of the cart.

I have been focusing on the design of my other websites-
My husband is working on zencart. Unfortunately, he desribes it as 'chinese'. I wish I could split myself into two and work on both simultaneously!

That's a very unique way of describing zencart:P
melanie: I think you should go for what you work best. Don't do the zen way in OSC and vise versa:P
