Hello,

I need some suggestions as to how I can remove my login box from my index page. It doesn't make sense to have it on the first page, since customers generally don't login until the find what they are looking for. Does anyone know how to do this? And is it worth the trouble anyway, or does it look ok??

My column_right file has this line:

require(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'loginbox.php');

I assume I need to do something with this...right??

Thanks!!

Liz

try puting the code in a comment /* */ and see what happens smileys/smiley5.gif

although I disagree about removing the log in. Look at gap.com or any other established online company, theres always a login on the first page. I think the thought behind that is when you have a good customer base that returns regularly, they can login right away.

Its not like a person has to loginuntil they are ready topurchase something anyway, so why not leave it.

just my 2 cents

I would vote for leaving it also. Maybe many people won't login
on the home page, but some will, especially repeat customers.
Also, even if they don't login in now, they will know where to expect
and look for the login area when they are ready to order. Nothing
is more frustrating than searching for "how" to order on a site.
